A Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is an expert in the field of food and nutrition, who has earned a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, completed at least 1200 hours of supervised practice through an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship, passed a national exam, and fulfilled continuing professional education requirements. A Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can assist you in managing chronic diseases, managing weight in a healthy way, understanding portion sizes and food labels, and discovering realistic and attainable lifestyle changes that can help to improve overall health.
